Aim of these Instructions To provide information for trainers and facilitators on how to use the Appearance Matters training modules in the context of providing training for Vocational Guidance Counsellors and Trainers LIFELONG LEARNING PROGRAMME This project has been funded with support from the European Commission LLP UK-LEONARDO-LMP. Aim of the modules To provide vocational guidance counsellors and vocational trainers with knowledge and understanding relating to the prevalence and potential impacts of appearance dissatisfaction, together with hints and tips for addressing these issues amongst their trainees LIFELONG LEARNING PROGRAMME This project has been funded with support from the European Commission LLP UK-LEONARDO-LMP. Content of the course Module 1: Does Appearance Matter? An introduction. Module 2: Psychological impacts of appearance dissatisfaction. Module 3: The impact of appearance dissatisfaction on health. Module 4: Appearance dissatisfaction and social disadvantage. Module 5: Interventions Designed to Improve Body Image. Module 6: How to recognise symptoms of appearance- related distress.
