Human Powered Electronics Charger for Bicycle Kento Yamaguchi

Project Goals Make an energy efficient device that attaches to a bicycle that can charge an electronic device as an alternative to charging it at home. Increase the market for bicycles and get more people bicycling for transportation.

Background Information 0.55% of Americans bike to work everyday. 4% of Americans don’t know how to use a bike.

If I made this trip everyday, I would be saving $770 / year.

Phones use less than 5 watts an hour.

Current attempts at this project

Design Requirements Must not interfere with the normal function of a bicycle. Must be customizable to fit on any sized bicycle. Must be easy to put on and take off the bicycle. Must be sustainable.
