The Sower

He said,”The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of God has been given to you, but to others I speak in parables, so that, ‘though seeing, they may not see; though hearing, they may not understand.’ Luke 8:10

What is the parable about? How will people respond to the word of God? How will people respond to Jesus?

Soil 1 – The path Immediately the seed falls and is ruined. There is a spiritual battle going on right now to snatch away the message at the earliest and quickest opportunity.

Soil 2 – The shallow, rocky soil The message is received with joy but there is no root. Tough times put your faith on trial and shows what you really believe.

Soil 3 – The shared soil The message is drowned out by life’s worries, riches and pleasures. These people look just like us.

Soil 4 – The good soil The message is received, retained and put into practice. Our part is to sow that seed.
