Facts about Pearl Harbor  Pearl Harbor was on December 7, 1941  2,343 men died, 1,272 were wounded and 960 were left missing  4 battleships were sank 1 was capsized and another was ran aground in “battleship row”

Facts (Cont’d)  11 other ships were sunk and 188 planes were destroyed  Only 29 Japanese planes were shot down and 5 midget submarines were lost

Facts (Cont’d)  The Japanese fleet contained about 353 planes in two waves  A third wave was called off  Aircraft carriers the target of the attack were all not at the base  The reason why the third attack was called off

Facts (Cont’d)  The Japanese only attacked ships at Pearl Harbor and planes at Hickman airbase
