How do we teach writing? First hand experience – talk for writing, role play Phonic knowledge Literacy lessons Cross curricular Exciting Writing!

What is Exciting Writing? Every Friday morning - Two sessions. Session 1 – stimulating activity, fun games, planning and analysing texts. Session 2 – Focused independent writing in a calm and positive atmosphere. Let’s have a go!

The 4 Generic Targets V – Vocabulary C – Connectives O – Openers P – Punctuation These can be used to ‘Up Level’ writing.
