Alike or Different? Comparing Characteristics of Dinosaurs and Living Animals

Brachiosaurus and Giraffe How these Animals are Similar: They both have a long neck. They both have long legs. They both walk on four legs. How these Animals are Different: One has leathery skin and the other has soft, spotted skin. One has a long tail that drags on the ground and the other has a short tail. One has big ears and the other does not.

Tyrannosaurus rex and Chicken How these Animals are Similar: They both walk on two feet. They both have three claws on each foot. They both have small eyes. How these Animals are Different: One has smooth skin and the other has feathers. One has sharp teeth and the other does not. The T. rex has short arms and the chicken has wings.

Triceratops and Elephant How these Animals are Similar: They both walk on four feet. They both have a tail. They both have smooth skin. How these Animals are Different: One has horns and the other doesn’t. One has big ears and the other doesn’t. One has a trunk and the other doesn’t.
