 Timmy’s cat ran up a tree and is stuck at the top. Timmy asked a firefighter to come help with his ladder.

 If the firefighter puts the ladder at a 65° to the ground and the cat is 7 feet up the tree, what length must the ladder be and at what angle is the cat to the ladder? 65° 7 x 

 Sin(65°)= 7/x (7)/sin(65°)=x x=7.7 ft  90+65= =25°=

° 25°

 The ladder’s length must be 7.7 feet and it must be at a 25° angle with the cat.  And now Timmy knows to watch his kitten while they play outside.
