Hue Another name for color!

Primary Colors The three basic colors of the color wheel. Cannot be mixed, you must purchase/be given them. The three basic colors that all other colors come from. Red, blue, yellow

Secondary Colors Colors made by mixing two primary colors. (2nd colors) Orange, green, purple

Tertiary Colors Colors made by mixing a primary and a secondary color. Two word name Red- orange Blue-green Yellow-green

Tint WHITE plus a color. Always start with white first!!!!

Shade Color (hue) plus black Just a little bit of black goes a looooong way!

Tone Hue (color) plus gray

Value The lightness or darkness of a color Ex- maroon is a dark value of red

Intensity or Saturation or saturation is the brightness of a color or put another way, it's the force of the color
