Outline ArcGIS Software included in the Licensing Agreement (VCCS) Virtual ArcGIS Courses included in the Licensing Agreement and FREE For Everyone. Commonly used free software. Why do we use remote sensing?

ArcGIS Software (VCCS) Higher ED VT Student software. ArcGIS Online (AGO) -Organizational account and free accounts for students.(AGO) Restricted administrative and research use on some software.

Virtual ArcGIS Courses included in the Licensing Agreement and FREE For Everyone License Training Catalog Getting Started with GIS (for ArcGIS 10.1) StartStart

Commonly used free software. ArcGIS Explorer Online (or AG Explorer Desktop)- DNR GPS - Google Earth - Google Map Maker - Open Street Map - Grass GIS -

GPS Units Garmin – Community College base level- Oregon 450. Etrex 10 / 20 is a low cost alternative Etrex models for library loaners. Trimble Juno recommended as base level for ArcPad use. GeoExplorer 6000 Series for higher accuracy and computing power (surveying and mapping). Topcon Primarily surveying grade. ArcGIS for Smartphones - and its several derivatives will allow for mapping and data collection with mobile device. MANY other Apps available.
