Spiritual Gifts Special abilities given to believers by the Spirit for the glory of God and the good of others

Prophecy Speech from God to man to edify the church to convince and convict unbelievers

Prophecy Speech from God to man foretelling: revealing future events forth-telling: revealing something private

Prophecy Speech from God to man that is infallible and inerrant that must therefore be tested –what it says about Jesus –how it compares to scripture –whether predictions come true –the character of the prophet/prophetess

Prophecy 1.Apostolic Prophecy ”…with a capital-P” –revelation for the entire church at all times –Jesus and the Apostles
