Have you ever encountered a path full of hindrances, full of obstacles? Had trouble clearing it off? Can we think of some automatic stuff which can do this job that doesn’t involve human labor(effort)? Here we come with a solution!!

We have come up with the idea of autonomous robotics j A programmed robot equipped with microcontrollers and sensors that clears off the way whenever sensors detect the obstacle

Worried about the safety of the bot ? What if some huge obstacle comes in the way! It may harm the bot. To make the bot safer, we have included the dual sensor system.

Dual Sensor System: The system involves two pairs of infrared sensors. These are fixed on the bot in such a way that small obstacles cause both sensors to respond differently and huge obstacle causes both of them to respond in same manner. Using this information from the sensors, we can program the robot accordingly. Hence, we can remove the small obstacles in the way and stop the bot when the obstacle is huge.

CONSTRUCTION ATMEGA 8 development board:- It consists of microcontroller(ATMEGA 8) which acts as a small computer and processes the input and according to the instructions given to it in the coded form (embedded C), it gives the output. According to the output, the robot will perform the predefined actions. The Liquid Crystal Display, Buzzer, Light Emitting Diodes and sensors are synchronized via microcontroller which delivers the information corresponding to the activity of the robot. All this makes the bot user-friendly.

SENSORS:- It is equipped with the infrared sensors. The transmitter keeps on transmitting the infrared radiations and whenever the reflected ray is received back by the receiver, it makes sure the object is nearby and instructions are given to the microcontroller according to program.

MOTORS:- Motors control the movement of the bot. In this bot, motors are used for moving the bot as well as for moving the flap to remove the obstacle. Functioning of each motor is controlled by the microcontroller. POWER SOURCE:- A DC voltage source of 12V is used as the main power supply for the bot. Another DC source of 6V is also used to give power supply to the motor driver used to increase the speed of the motors.

Due to our team’s zero experience, the bot we have made might have some loopholes but we believe that our idea has a potential to be worked upon, that could make more efficient machines. THANK YOU!!
