THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT IS Lesson 9 for the 27 th of February, 2010

“Meekness is a precious grace, willing to suffer silently, willing to endure trials. Meekness is patient and labors to be happy under all circumstances. Meekness is always thankful and makes its own songs of happiness, making melody in the heart to God. Meekness will suffer E.G.W. (Testimonies, vol. 3, pp. 335) disappointment and wrong, and will not retaliate. Meekness is not to be silent and sulky. A morose temper is the opposite of meekness; for this only wounds and gives pain to others, and takes no pleasure to itself”

It is no necessary for us to say that we are meek. Our behavior and our words will show the people around us that we are meek. There is only one way to achieve meekness: Devoting oneself to God daily. Let Him to cultivate this fruit of his Spirit in us.

To receive God’s Word. James, 1: 21 For an effective testimony. 1 Peter, 3: 15 To please God with it. Micah, 6: 8 To put up with one another. Ephesians, 4: 2 To react correctly to provocations. Matthew, 5: 39 To forgive. Galatians, 6: 1 To correct. 2 Timothy, 2: 24-25
