Biofuels & Algae By Cheyenne (:

Bio fuels They help with transportation and car needs Ethanol & Biodiesel are the two most common bio fuels, Ethanol : is an alcohol Biodiesel : is an liquid form of biofuel

Algae This produces 15 times more bio fuels than other plant & is a lot cleaner and quicker & it grows faster with carbon dioxide added which is the number 1 greenhouse gas so there is another bonus of switching to this

Advantages & disadvantages of using biofuels (: Biofuels advantages (: They can reduce greenhouse gases They save drivers money Can easily subistute petro diesel Cleans your engine Biofuels disadvantages :O It is NOT available everywhere Is not very effective in cold whether Is more expensive than petro diesel

Disadvantages & advantages of using algae : O Algae disadvantages Produces very unstable fuel It’s a new technology so they are very unsure about this product Doesn’t work as well as the fuel we are using now Algae advantages No crops nessacary Grows anywhere Reduces carbon dioxide in the air Suitable for cold whether Can be made into ethanol !

Why are they not number 1 ? Well both algae & biofuels have a lot of drawbacks Also algae is a new technology and we are still learning about it like toddlers (: Biofuels is extremely expensive because of the ingredients needed to make it

What is the government doing to solve it & use this resource ? They are trying to work it They agree with algae but not so much bio fuels, This is my opinion on what I have read
