 Owning a home is not as difficult as some may think. Most people can qualify for a mortgage with a credit score over 620 points. You should consult with a certified loan officer to determine your eligibility.  Interest rates are historically low right now, buying a house is, in most cases, cheaper than the option of renting with many more benefits. Most loan expert forecast interest rates to increase this year, so right now are the most favorable interest rates you may see for years, saving hundreds of dollars a month on most loans compared to future rate predictions.  When you rent you never get a return on your money, and in most cases, you will lose part or all of your security deposit. Home values are projected to increase between 3-5% per year over the next five year period, so home ownership allows you to build equity.  Owning a home will allow you to write off interest paid on your mortgage, often resulting in lower taxes and/or a higher tax return.  Home Ownership puts you in Control, not your Landlord. You can make it you own, with your vision, plans, improvements and personal touches.  Look at the following examples comparing of the possibility of owning a beautiful Waterfront Home in Lake Wilderness or a large custom built rambler in Lake of the Woods compared to renting a townhouse in the Fredericksburg area.  There is no time like the present to experience the hallmark status of the American Dream- Home Ownership! With low priced homes on the market, interest rates at historically low levels, and the economy recovering Now is the “Perfect Storm” for home buyers, don’t Miss it.  Legal Disclaimer:  Interest rates change on a daily basis, so work with your lender to secure the most favorable rate possible for your circumstances*  Obtaining a mortgage requires that you to meet the underwriting program guidelines depending on which loan program you are applying.  This is not a commitment to lend. All pre-approval requests or applications are subject to complete underwriting review. All information deemed to be accurate but cannot be guaranteed.  *The rates used in these examples is based on rates and credit scores of 720 from on 26th December 2014.
