Medical science Pain Relief The increase in blood flow from magnets delivers more oxygen and natural painkillers called endorphins, which in turn relieves minor pain.

Anti-Inflammatory In addition to relieving pain, magnets can reduce inflammation with the increased blood circulation. When inflammation decreases, the body can also heal more quickly.

Everyday life Clean up metal shavings that have fallen from the bench grinder onto the workshop floor. Food manufacturers use magnets to prevent small iron particles from mixing with the food. Similarly vendors use magnets to separate coins from other junk. Maglev trains can travel really fast about 480km/h. Because they operate without wheels as they float above the track due to magnetic repulsion between electromagnet in the track and the underside of the train.

Industry Powerful magnetic separators are used in many mines, especially coal mines. These industrial magnets are used to recover valuable materials that would otherwise go unclaimed, and many mining operators make full use of industrial magnets for this purpose. Drum magnets are also used in coal mines and other mining operations to remove contaminants from the mined materials, helping companies get the most value from every ton of coal and other mined materials.

RElay There are four parts in every relay- Electromagnet, Armature, Spring, Set of electrical contracts. There are two separate and complete independent circuits. In the bottom circuit, a switch is controlling power to the electromagnet. When the switch is on, the electromagnet is on, and it attracts the armature( blue). The armature is acting as a switch in the second circuit. When the electromagnet is energized, the armature completes the second circuit and the light is on. When the electromagnet is not energized, the spring pulls the armature away and the circuit is not complete. In that case, the light is dark.

The relay is to use a small amount of power in the electromagnet to move an armature that is able to switch a much large amount of current. Common in : Motors or light. Cars.

Door Bell There is a switch, battery, iron armature, hammer, bell, electromagnet and a contact screw in the electric bell circuit. When you push the switch, the current passes through the coil and make the iron bar into an electromagnet. Then, the electromagnet attracts the iron armature towards it as it is surrounded by a magnetic field. This makes the hammer hit the bell and makes a chiming sound. However, the attraction between the iron armature and the contact screw broke so the current stops flowing. The circuit breaks and the electromagnet loses its magnetism. The iron armature is then put back into its original position.
