HISTORY OF BOLLYWOOD Introduction Bollywood is the nickname given to the Indian film industry-it is a play on the word Hollywood. The B----- comes from Bombay also known as Mumbai, a big city in the India. In Bollywood makes 800 films per year.

When Bollywood born? In 1899 first Hollywood short film was screened and born Just like Hollywood films were silent to begin with in the 1930s the films became talkies. Many Indian came to live and work in Britain around fifty years ago, and they brought their cultures with them. Now Hollywood's biggest audience outside India is in Britain.

Musical drama Bollywood films and music. In Bollywood films music is the main factor. Music inhanse the story and music makes the characterisation. Some times music and poetry tells story and represent the emotions of the character.

Bollywood big one? 2002 was the year it all kicked off for Bollywood in Britain. A season of Indian films was shown on TV When India and England played in big Cricket tournament. In all over the world Bollywood is selling as a commercial medium. Bollywood films are not watching only Indian families even others also watch them.

What makes bollywood unusual? Bollywood films really colourful and crammed with singing,daning loads of costumes changes. The also used to stick to a formula of a boy meats girl, they fall in love and they struggle for family approval.

Problems of Bollwood. Bollywood biggest problem is pricay. The people copy the films and sell them and show them to others people for free. At the moment films makers not made make more money than they cost to make.
