Pakistan’s struggles  Pakistan’s population from 2012 is 179.2million  Male populations is 51% and female is 48%  Females have very little rights and groups are protesting for more  Like most countries there are rich and poor parts not much of an in-between  Poverty and child labour as well as overpopulation

Islamabad  Islamabad is the capital city of Pakistan and ninth biggest city in the world  As any city it has poor area aka slums  Has many rich areas in the city  Factories located around the city

Forms of child labour  1. Factory labour aka soccer balls, weaving rugs etc.  2. Bonded labour aka carrying tools, heavy loads of boxes or whatever and exposed to chemicals  3. Maids and cleaners aka children cleaning rich peoples houses

Factory labour  Factory labour usually starts with a family needing more money to talk care of the family  Or families being tricked into thinking their child would be taken into a good program to help them learn a skill  Children as young as 3 can work in a factory  Product they are most known to make are soccer balls for the company Nike and expensive rugs that are sold around the world  Children working get little to none pay  Exposed to many toxins,

Pictures of different kinds of child labour

How they try to stop it  Organizations such as Unicef and Red crescent society as well as the government try to help and put a stop to the child labour  Although it would stop extreme child abuse it would however increase poverty levels and such as other things

Short Compare and Contrast  Pakistan now to the Industrial revolution SimilaritiesDifferences Both major jobs expose children to toxic chemicals Pakistan country is faced with more poverty Both jobs do not pay workers as much as they should England was just discovering the newer technology Both of them do not obey the law and continue child labour Pakistan has more knowledge of what there are doing in regards to dangers of the labour Children back then and now are still getting sexually abused in the jobs Pakistan women have less right than England back then thus having a harder time for girls Both have similar resouces ( coal, gas, ect.)
