 Chicago Children Bible Fellowship  Isaac Y. Choi Children Bible Fellowship (CBF)

God has blessed our UBF ministry so much that CBF came about. So CBF means the outcome of God’s blessing upon our ministry. This is the reason we have to maintain, develop and pass CBF ministry on to next generation. That’s why, CBF should be a blessing to UBF. 1. CBF came from UBF ministry

2. The importance of CBF ministry 1.Succeeding generation 2.Education is our future 3.Spiritual discipline and training in young ages 4.“4-14 window” movement focuses on global mission 5.Long term goal and vision

3. How to divide them? *Children’s education = CBF + HBF + UBF  1 – 3 yrs……Baby  4 – 5 yrs……Pre-school & kindergarten  6 – 13 yrs…..Primary school  14 –17 yrs….Secondary school  18 + yrs…….College Based on ages;  yr CBF (Children Bible Fellowship)  14 – 17 yrs HBF(High-school Bible Fellowship)  18 + yrs UBF(University Bible Fellowship)

There are 7 divisions  Baby Bible Fellowship(BBF): ages 1 – 6 years old  Pre-school Bible Fellowship(PBF): age years old  Elementary-school Bible fellowship(EBF): age 6 – 12 year  Middle-school Bible Fellowship(MBF): years old  Children Bible Fellowship(CBF): years old  Junior-high Bible Fellowship(JBF): years old  High-school Bible Fellowship(HBF): years old

yrs……………. 85 % yrs……………. 10 % 18 + yrs……………….. 5 % Based on maturity progress; UBF (18 + yrs) 5% HBF ( yrs) 10% CBF ( yrs) 85% Based on these facts: CBF ministry = Family education + CBF education

4. The purpose of CBF ministry Luke 2:52 ---“And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.” 1.In favor with God 2.In favor with men at the same time When children “grow” (by spiritual education) With what?  In wisdom (words of God)  In stature (flexible container of mind and heart) How ? Therefore, “CBF is the Jesus’ school” that help children to grow in Jesus.

5. The CBF ministry Bible study and Worship service Faith building programs Parents partnership

Enables children to know who God is, who Jesus is and what God’s history is. Through these learning, children found themselves in the flow of God’s work and history. 1. Bible study and worship service: Bible study Helps children to come to God and have devotion to Him. Also it brings commitment, loyalty, obedience, affection, thanksgiving and service to God. 3. Parents’ partnership According to statistics, children stay at home more than 16 hours a day and attend in CBF less than 5 hours per week. This is the reason that parents should be “partners” for children’s education with teachers and “role models” for their children.

3. Parents’ partnership Take faith to home: Bible study binder / year Teaching Bible truth (Catechism) CBF worship Bible passage study

3. Parents’ partnership Family devotion (Dt. 6:5)  Family worship  Sing spiritual songs  Bible reading and study  Writing testimony  Sharing prayer topics  Pray together  Participating in God’s work together Discipleship for own children (Dt. 6:7-9)  Children’s family net-working  Parents /Teachers meeting and seminar  Teacher’s calling, visiting and writing letter to the parent Restoring family value & purpose (education); Teaching them to obey everything Jesus commanded

3. Parents’ partnership Tri-angle relationship: ( children / teachers / parents ) In order to carry our beloved children to God’s perspective, we have to use CBF as a powerful vehicle that teachers may be front wheels to direct and parents should be rear wheels to support. CBF Children Parents Teachers
