This is the 1 st slide of the distance learning version of the Short Course. It uses the Moodle software (an online course management system) and is accessible from mla.mrooms.org Also available is the HINARI Train the Trainers Course.

You can modify any of the material to fit your local training needs: To replace ‘screen captures’: –display the screen you want –click on the ‘print screen’ key - usually top/right of keyboard –open the ‘Paint’ program and paste the image (control/v); to open ‘Paint’ – go to Programs, (Windows) Accessories, Paint –To edit the image, use the ‘crop’ icon to limit content) –copy again (control/c) and paste in document Note: You can delete the ‘paint’ program step and paste the screen capture directly into your document.

The next 4 slides discuss IMARK, a set of self-paced e- learning modules on information and knowledge management developed by an international partnership led by FAO. It is a valuable resource to learn about strategies, methodologies and tools for the effective management of information, and it compliments the HINARI training material.
