USA: CAN: DAY ITINERARY DAY 1: TORONTO / PARIS  Fly through the night to Paris. DAY 2: PARIS  Meet your Prométour Tour Director at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris.  Transfer to your centrally located Paris hotel for check-in.  While in Paris travel as the locals do, by foot and metro!  Later, stroll about the Trocadéro and visit its breathtaking gardens.  In the evening, join Mme Leclair and discover the City of Lights together.  Take a stroll along the Champs-Elysées.  See the Arc de Triomphe & visit the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.  Have dinner with your Prométour Tour Director. DAY 3: PARIS  Visit Philippe Auguste's Louvre where you’ll see master pieces such as the Mona Lisa. With 8.3 million visitors annually, it is by far the most visited culture and art museum in the world.  Walk through the Jardin des Tuileries to the Place de la Concorde. Notice the Egyptian Obelisk at its center.  Enter Notre-Dame Cathedral, a magnificent religious edifice and one of the supreme masterpieces of French gothic architecture.  On to the Quartier Latin to see the Luxembourg Gardens, Le Panthéon, and Sorbonne University. Get acquainted with the flower market and the book stalls on the Seine.  Have dinner at a restaurant in the Latin Quarter.

USA: CAN: DAY ITINERARY DAY 4: PARIS  Visit the Musée d'Orsay which was originally a railway station. Admire its extensive collections of paintings, sculptures, architecture, and literature drawn from the 19th and 20th centuries.  Enter the beautiful Opera Garnier best known as the backdrop for Gaston Leroux's famous Gothic novel -The Phantom of the Opera, and all of its incarnations.  Explore the Opera Quarter, home to Galleries Lafayette and the Place Vendome.  See the Sacré-Coeur Basilica located at the summit of the butte Montmartre, the highest point in the city.  Have dinner with your group in the area. DAY 5: VERSAILLES  This morning after breakfast, board the train and head for a visit of the Château of Versailles.  See the State Apartments, the King’s Chamber and the Hall of Mirrors.  Later, head for the gardens and explore their massive gilded fountains with mythical creatures, lines of statues, and never-ending gardens.  Return to Paris and take the afternoon to explore the delights of Le Quartier Latin.  Have dinner with your Prométour Tour Director while overlooking la Ville Lumière, at Restaurant le 58 Tour, located on the first floor of the Eiffel Tower. DAY 6: TGV TO AVIGNON  Board the TGV that will take you to Avignon. Your bus will be waiting for you upon arrival.  Visit the majestic Palais des Papes, one of the largest and most important medieval Gothic buildings in Europe, and where the Pope lived for much of the 14th Century.  Spend the rest of the afternoon exploring this commune with your Prométour Tour Director.  Have dinner with your Prométour Tour Director.

USA: CAN: DAY ITINERARY DAY 7: AVIGNON/ARLES/AIX-EN-PROVENCE  This morning, see the impressive Pont du Gard, a Roman aqueduct built in the middle of the 1st Century A.D.  Drive to the city of Arles, a UNESCO world heritage site. It was an important center of Provençal life that was an inspiration to Van Gogh and Gauguin.  Visit the impressive Roman Arena.  Head to Aix-en-Provence, also known as the city of fountains. Stroll through the Cours Mirabeau and see its beautiful rotunda. Be sure to stop by a local patisserie to try some calissons, a traditional almond-shaped local candy known for its distinctly melon-like flavor.  Check-in at your hotel.  Have dinner at an authentic French restaurant. DAY 8: AIX-EN-PROVENCE/ST-PAUL-DE-VENCE/NICE  Depart for the Côte d’Azur, a vacation spot where stars such as Bono & Johnny Depp like to spend their summers.  Drive to Eze, a small charming Provençal village that offers a panoramic view of the sea and coastline.  Learn how French perfumes are made at a local Parfumerie.  Visit the hilltop walled city of St-Paul-de-Vence. It is considered to be one of the most beautiful villages in Provence. The beauty of the surrounding area has inspired numerous famous artists, painters, writers and poets, some of whom took up residence in the village.  Check-in at your hotel in Nice.  Have dinner with your Prométour Tour Director.  Take an evening stroll along the Promenade des Anglais. DAY 9: FRANCE/TORONTO  Transfer to the airport for your flight back to Toronto
