 1.2 million people under the age of 65yrs.  Roughly half of those uninsured are eligible for free or low cost public health insurance Why?

 They don’t know what free or low cost programs are out there  They think it is only for people that don’t work  They have the wrong information about who can get it  They don’t speak English or they don’t know where to go to get help in their language  More….

 Medicaid  Family Health Plus  Child Health Plus  All three offer free or low-cost health insurance for eligible people

 Free health insurance for people with low incomes  Covers most health care services including: Regular checkups Hospital Services Emergency room care Medical Equipment Prescriptions Transportation to and from doctor’s appointments Homecare services Nursing home care Dental services
