When the first time of moon full people could see seventeen gods dancing in the moonlight. One year, sky was covered by clouds. Everyone lighted torches to make the sky bright to find gods. It became a custom, and in some area people hold lanterns or light campfire.

Lantern festival is usually in lunar January 15th. People often go out for releasing lanterns with family or friends. Pingsi is the most famous place of releasing lanterns in Taiwan.

Lanterns Every Lantern Festival. Chlidren always hold lanterns and play outside. It can not only bring luck, but also pass culture down to next generation.

Every country in Taiwan almost let off fireworks on Lantern Festival. It is a unique culture in Taiwan, I think the firework is really beautiful. Firework
