Vincent Van Gogh's Sunflower Series Vincent Van Gogh painted sunflowers for over five years. Many of them he painted in vases and then he did a series of sunflowers that were loosely laid on a table. He painted quite a few compositions of sunflowers growing in fields. Notice the different colors and styles in the compositions that follow.
