Definition of Solicitation "Solicitation" is defined as any verbal or written communication or distribution which sells, encourages, advocates, demands, or requests a contribution of money, time, effort, signatures, or personal involvement or membership in any company, organization, group, or fund (charitable or otherwise), or the sales purchase of merchandise, raffles, lottery tickets, etc.

Employee Solicitation Eaton employees are permitted to engage in solicitation or distribution of literature for any group or organization, but only in accordance with the following restrictions: Solicitation is prohibited during working time. Distribution of literature is prohibited in work areas during all working hours. Distribution of literature in any manner that may cause litter on Eaton’s property is prohibited.
