Incarnation: from the Latin “carnis” meaning flesh  It refers to God taking on human flesh and becoming man in Jesus Christ.

Jesus is both fully human and fully divine (fully God) (100% Human+ 100% Divine =Jesus)

Jesus was like us in all things EXCEPT sin Through the person of Jesus, the invisible God becomes visible. He becomes human just like us. He walked in the path of humanity with us. As Jesus was fully human He experienced: happiness, joy, abandonment, suffering, and even death.

Why did God have to become man? God had to reveal Himself to us so that we could: a)come to know who God is - we could never know who God was unless He showed us who He was b) come to know what is necessary for salvation - He taught us how to live so we could have eternal life
