Overview Spotted eagle rays Sunflower sea star Giant spider crab Vampire squid Indonesian needlefish Concepts on deep ocean life Impact on deep ocean life conclusion

Spotted Eagle Rays Spotted eagle rays are most commonly seen alone . They can be identified by its dark dorsal surface covered in white spots or rings. And is part of the Eagle Ray family.

Sunflower Sea Star The Sunflower Sea Star is found in the Northeast Pacific. It’s the largest sea star in the world. Maximum of 1M (3.3 feet) Sea Stars have up to 16-24 limbs. Sea Stars can be all different colors

Giant Spider Crab The Giant Spider Crab is a species of Marine crab. They have the longest legs for a crab, reaching up to 12 feet. They weigh up to 42 LB.

Vampire Squid The Vampire Squid lives 2000-3000 feet down from the surface. The Squid reaches a total length of 1 foot long and 6 inches wide. It is a cousin to the squid. It varies in colors from black to white.

Indonesian Needlefish The Indonesian Needlefish gets it name from its long narrow jaws, filled with sharp teeth.

Concepts of the deep ocean life The deep ocean is the deepest layer of the ocean, it has very little or no light in that part of the ocean. That is why scientist were surprised to see life that deep. Mariana Trench is where all the life under the water is, and is deepest part of any ocean at 1800 meters deep, if Mount Everest was under the water the peek would be more than a mile under the surface of the water. Between 1872-1876 people found that there is life at the bottom of the ocean. In 1960 two men went down to the bottom of Mariana Trench.

Impact on deep ocean life Below the Oceans surface is a mysterious world that takes up to 95% of the earth living space. At 13000 feet (20 mountains or 4000 meters) the temperature hovers around freezing. You can not see anything down there because there is no light, And because there is a lot more to discover.

Conclusion We learned a lot about Deep Sea Life, all the different living species that live down there. We also discovered the impact that the deep sea life affects people. We got lots of information about all the sea creatures that we researched about.
