 The Dead Sea, also called the Salt Sea, is a salt lake with Jordan to the east and Israel to the west.  Its surface and shores are 423 meters below sea level, Earth's lowest elevation on land.  Also it is so salty you can float easy.  Actually its 8.6 times saltier than the ocean.  Its mud is good for your skin. There are Dead Sea mud products that you can buy.

If the Dead Sea is drying, is it a problem?  Yes, because people use water that normally goes into the dead sea  Less water entering the Dead Sea and steady evaporation makes its level drop  Water in the ground also evaporates. If the ground falls in, it is called a sink hole.
