The Extremes MOST EXPENSIVE BERTH CHEAPEST BERTH US$5215.20 (Euro 4.172,16) per night For a 200 metre yacht at Yacht Haven Grande ,USVI CHEAPEST BERTH US$12.00 (Euro 9,60) per night For a 12 metre yacht in Prickly Bay Marina, Grenada.

Basis of the Study As far as possible data was obtained from Marinas directly Some data obtained from the Internet Assumptions were avoided as far as possible Some rates had to be calculated from data supplied The whole study will be fed back to all contributors, to them, many thanks.

The Yachts A Cross Section of Typical Yachts was used: A 40 ft / 12 metre monohull sailing yacht typical of the local cruising market A 46 ft / 14 metre catamaran, typical of the bareboat charter market A 65 ft / 20 metre monohull yacht, typical of the higher end cruising market A 130 ft / 40 metre monohull motor yacht – a mid-range “Megayacht”

Calculation Rates were calculated per night for each yacht type for the following periods: The “High Season” between December & May For daily visitor berthing For monthly storage berthing The “Low Season” between June & November For seasonal storage berthing The complete year for permanent berthing.

The Results The complete spreadsheets of data, expressed in US Dollars and Euros are in your information pack The spreadsheet is too big to read on the screen! The highlights follow…

Range of Berthing Fees For the 40 ft / 12 metre yacht, the least expensive berth cost: US$12.00 (Euro 9,60) per night in the low season at Prickly Bay marina, Grenada And the most expensive berth cost: US$110.00 (Euro 88,00) per night as a high season visitor at Yacht Haven Grande in the USVI

46 ft (14 metre) Catamaran Pricing Policies for Multihulls vary significantly between no additional charge to double rates. Most common is a 50% surcharge on monohull rates. Least Expensive berth: US$ 19.78 (Euro 15,82) Secret Harbour Grenada Most Expensive berth: US$ 128.80 (Euro 103,04) Simpson Bay Marina, Sint Maarten.

65 ft (20 metre) Monohull The Least Expensive Berth: US$26 (Euro 20,80) at Catamaran Marina, Antigua The Most Expensive Berth: US$256.75 (Euro 205,40) at Yacht Club Costa Smeralda in the British Virgin Islands

130 ft (40 metre) Megayacht The range of price is even more dramatic! The Least Expensive Berth: US$ 52 (Euro 41,60) at the Catamaran Marina, Antigua The Most Expensive Berth: US$ 1007.50 (Euro 806,00) at Yacht Haven Grande, USVI and Isle de Sol, Sint Maarten.
