Ch. 9.1 Discussing gift suggestions (Questions) (Answers) ¿Qué piensas regalarle a tu hermano? Le voy a dar unas camisetas. What are you planning on giving (as a gift) your brother? I’m going to give him some T-shirts. ¿Para quién es el regalo? El regalo es para mi abuela. Who is the gift for? The gift is for my grandmother. ¿Qué tipo de regalo buscas? Busco unos pantalones para mi primo. What kind of gift are you looking for? I’m looking for some pants for my cousin.

Indirect Object Pronouns: Le, Les Le - to / for him (él), to / for her (ella), to / for you (usted) Les- to / for them, to / for you plural (ustedes) Le voy a regalar un collar a mi abuela. I’m going to give a necklace to my grandmother. In the sentence, Le is placed before the first verb voy. Voy is conjugated in the form of the subject(yo), the person who is going to give. Le is the pronoun, standing for the abuela, the indirect object; to whom the necklace is given. So Le is the indirect object pronoun.
