Autotransformer Starting
Autotransformer Starting (continued) To Start –All S contacts CLOSE –Line terminals connect to high-side of autotransformers. Low-sides of autotransformers are connected together. Taps of autotransformers are connected to the motor terminals providing lower than line voltage for starting.
