TransitChek Commuter Benefit Program Using the TransitChek® Card

About the TransitChek® Card The TransitChek® Card, a prepaid Visa® card, is an anonymous card which allows you to purchase SF Muni 7–Day Passports, BART passes, Caltrain tickets, and all other transit tickets and passes using tax-free dollars wherever Visa debit cards are accepted. TransitChek Cards are available in a variety of denominations to best meet your commuting needs. The initial value is embossed on the Card. The TransitChek® Prepaid Visa® Card is issued by The Bancorp Bank, pursuant to a license from Visa® U.S.A. Inc. Bancorp Bank: Member FDIC

About the TransitChek® Card (continued) Additional dollars can be added to the Card up to three times per Card if your monthly commuting costs exceed the monthly pretax limit. Before you are allowed to add funds you must register the Card. You will need to provide some personal information. The TransitChek Card, a prepaid Visa® card can hold a maximum value of $500. To add value go to the TransitChek Card website at: www.tccard.transitcenter.com or call: 1.888.288.CHEK (2435). Make sure you have enough funds on your Card before making your transit purchase. Multiple TransitChek Cards cannot be used in one transaction. But funds can be combined onto one Card. The TransitChek® Prepaid Visa® Card is issued by The Bancorp Bank, pursuant to a license from Visa® U.S.A. Inc. Bancorp Bank: Member FDIC

Purchasing a Fare Card with the TransitChek® Card Select Ticket Type Select Destination Select Number of Tickets Purchase Tickets Insert your TransitChek Card and follow instructions on the menu screen and retain your receipt Keep your TransitChek® Card, a prepaid visa card, even though there may be no value remaining until your fare card or ticket expires The TransitChek® Prepaid Visa® Card is issued by The Bancorp Bank, pursuant to a license from Visa® U.S.A. Manage Funds On Your TransitChek® Card You can combine funds from two TransitChek Cards and add funds from a personal debit or credit card The Card must be registered before funds can be added or combined. Some personal information will be required. Transfer balances from one TransitChek Card to another TransitChek Card If you have money left on your Card, you can easily transfer the balance from one TransitChek Card to another TransitChek Card. You can make up to three transfers onto one Card. To make a transfer, log on to the TransitChek Card website, or call the toll-free number. When using the website, choose the “Transfers” tab and follow instructions. Add Value From a Personal Debit or Credit Card If the amount of your commute is greater than your tax-fee deduction, you can add value from a personal debit or credit card to your TransitChek Card only if your card is registered. To add value, log on to the TransitChek Card website at: www.tccard.transitcenter.com . When using the website, choose the “Add Value” tab and follow instructions.
