Source Cards Title:The effect of sex and age on media selection: interaction effect and moderating role of education.(Survey) Pub:China Media Research  Detail:Majid A. Dehkordi, Seiichiro Yonekura and Hamidreza Yazdani. 7.1 (Jan 2011): p48(9). (5364 words)  … communication media, as well as everyday life is evident and the increase in the use of computers in the workplace has led to the ease of electronic communications, business …

Owl-Purdue University mla Basic Style for Citations of Electronic Sources (Including Online Databases) Here are some common features you should try and find before citing electronic sources in MLA style. Not every Web page will provide all of the following information. However, collect as much of the following information as possible both for your citations and for your research notes: Author and/or editor names (if available) Article name in quotation marks (if applicable) Title of the Website, project, or book in italics. (Remember that some Print publications have Web publications with slightly different names. They may, for example, include the additional information or otherwise modified information, like domain names [e.g. .com or .net].) Any version numbers available, including revisions, posting dates, volumes, or issue numbers. Publisher information, including the publisher name and publishing date. Take note of any page numbers (if available). Date you accessed the material. URL (if required, or for your own personal reference).

Now you create a source card: Dehkordi M, Yonekura S, Yazdani H. “The effect of sex and age on media selection: interaction effect and moderating rold of education. (Survey). Pub China Media Research. 7.1 Jan 2011. 48 (9). Be sure to letter your source cards in the upper right

Notecards: You use notecards to write information from the article. It can be: “A quote” Paraphrase Summary Cards should correspond to the source cards, so if your source card is “A” the first notecard is “A1” Put a keyword on each notecard

Argumentation Create premises Support with proof Refute your opponents best ideas Avoid logical fallacies This type of writing is intellectual, supported by research and facts.

Logical Fallacies Ad Hominem President Obama is owned by the unions, so therefore you can’t believe what he says about this bill. (Attacking the person not the subject at hand) Bandwagon: Everyone is buying an IPad, so you should purchase one too! People will be left out of happiness, success, etc. if they don’t join the crowd. See the wiki for examples of several others.

The Debatable Thesis Then, in an essay that synthesizes at least 3 of the sources given and 2 outside sources you find on your own for support, evaluate the most important factors that a school should consider before using certain technologies in the curriculum and instruction. (See Wiki)

In-Text Citations When you are using several sources, you cite like this: Romantic poetry is characterized by the "spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings" (Wordsworth 263). We see so many global warming hotspots in North America likely because this region has “more readily accessible climatic data and more comprehensive programs to monitor and study environmental change . . . ” (“Impact of Global Warming” 6). For particular examples remember to google Owl purdue mla
