SCT offline monitoring Helen Hayward

outline Results using Else’s new non-misaligned data (dig.trtbarrel_1111*root) Looking at efficiency dependence on incidence angle

First look at unbiased efficiency….. First look, efficiency looks very bad. (note similar results obtained from lower statistics early pit data) Clear dependence on layer number to efficiency Layer3, side1 Layer3, side0 Layer2, side1 Layer2, side0 Layer1, side1 Layer1, side0 Layer0, side1 Layer0, side0

Just looking at layer1, side 1 (efficiency maps of all layers/ sides look similar)

Dependence on angle(1)? Hit efficiency (for all layers) as a function of the track incidence angle.

Dependence on Angle(2) The apparent dependence of efficiency on theta looks a little artificial. In 2D plot only a dependence on phi appears to be observed Efficiency

How does this effect overall Eff? Place cut on track requiring |phi|<40deg. A lot better…. But efficiency is still a lot lower than seen in SR1!

Residuals Just for completeness.. Residuals with Else’s data… (And |phi|<40 deg cut).

Summary There is a clear effect on incidence angle on efficiency especially for layers 0 and 1. When this effect is taken into account, the efficiency is still too low (~ 96%)
