First GOES-13 Sounder vis (right) too dark in clear areas.

Reported GOES-13 Vis issue GOES-13 Sounder Visible Data: Initial Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite (GOES)-13 Sounder visible data showed the clear regions were too dark. This was reported by the Advanced Satellite Products Branch (ASPB) and after a collaborative investigation, the root cause was found and the Office of Satellite Operations (OSO) made a correction on July 6. The correction was to boost the value for the GOES-13 Visible Sounder relativization in the ground Sensor Processing Subsystem (SPS). The data now appear normal.

Note the GOES-13 visible data was corrected on July 6 th, 2006
