Engineering 1182 College of Engineering Engineering Education Innovation Center Missing Lines Section of Text

Engineering 1182 Objectives Given a set of orthographic projections, identify and correct situations in which one or more lines may be missing.

Engineering 1182 Missing Lines Missing lines are a common problem in drawings. To locate a missing line, examine vertices in adjacent pictorials. –A vertex in one view, means that there must be a corresponding vertex or edge in an adjacent view. –Vertices representing the same point must be aligned horizontally or vertically in adjacent views.

Engineering 1182 Missing Lines Missing lines can be visible, hidden, or centerlines. Step 1: Align Vertices. Step 2: Find un- aligned vertices. This is where lines are missing! Step 3: Add missing lines. CLICK

Engineering 1182 Missing Lines Use this time to practice identifying and correcting drawings with missing lines. In class assignment
