Knights Charge 10/20 Take out a sheet of paper… “A political goal of the American Revolution was to replace a monarchy with a democratic republic. Explain how three events during the Revolution helped achieve this goal.” What is the question asking? What is a democratic republic vs. a monarchy? Think of three events you think may contribute to your answer. For each event, describe what happened. Why did you choose your events? “I don’t know” is not an answer!

Knights Charge 10/21 Take out a sheet of paper… “The American Revolution began after years of tension in the American colonies. Select three events and explain how they helped push colonists to eventually declare independence.” What is this quote asking you to do? What time period are we referring to? What three events do you think may contribute to the answer to this question. For each event, describe what happened. Then, connect how each event relates to pushing to colonists toward declaring independence.
