Group Presentation The Latin America Economy

Course Grade Your course final grade is: 30% Final 30% Group Presentation 20% Midterm 20% Homework

Group Presentation Groups of 5 Dates and themes are already defined Choose a date for your group (First come first serve) I will provide you with the main text for your presentation

Group Presentation Grade Group Presentation Grade: 10% Presence (up to 15% with class participation) 35% Pre-presentation 55% Class Presentation

Presence The presence and extra-points for the group presentation are the only grade that is for each individual You will receive this 10% for attending 6 presentations or more. I will not accept any justifications for missing those classes since you can miss 2 presentations

Pre-Presentation In the week before your group presentation the group need to come to my office and show the presentation Your presentation should be ready I will give feedback in the content and in the style of your presentation I will also ask questions

Pre-Presentation Grade 33% is preparation (your slides must be ready to present) 33% is content 33% is slides

Class Presentation Class Presentation Grade 25% Slides 25% Content 25% Preparation 25% Presentation

Class Presentation Slides must be clear and direct Do NOT write paragraphs You should avoid reading the slides –Slides are only guiding your ideas and reasoning Use figures, graphs and tables

Class Presentation I will ask a question related to the content of the presentation to group members (not only presenters) You should be able to relate your presentation to the class content I DO not want specialization, all members in the group should be familiar with the entire presentation
