Objectives 1. Students will be able to demonstrate their understanding of St. Patrick’s Day by taking a quick quiz. 2. Students will be able to choose four new vocabulary words from the PowerPoint and find the definitions either using the PowerPoint or a dictionary. 3. Students will be able to answer a question about St. Patrick’s Day in their journals.

Vocabulary Activity Take 4 cut out shamrocks from the front table. As you read through the PowerPoint write down at least 4 vocabulary words that are new to you. One word for each shamrock. If the definition is given please write the definition on the back of the shamrock. If the definition is not given, use a dictionary.
