What is the world bank? The world bank is an international financial institution, that helps poor and developing countries by loaning them money, so that they can develop their countries through: 1)infrastructure projects. 2) build companies. 3)education. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Bank

The world bank compromises only 2 institutions: 1) the international bank for reconstruction and development. (IBRD) -fights poverty. -it helps middle income countries. 2) the international development association. purpose: What is the purpose of the world bank? How does this organization promote globalization and develop interdependence? It promotes globalization in that it has 187 members, these countries act as one for the betterment of the whole world. The interdependence factor comes in as the rich countries support the world bank which in turn supports the poor countries.
