Why Should I Evangelize? Four reasons why each of us should do our part in spreading the gospel to others

Our Clear Obligation To Spread The Gospel To The Lost Mat 28:18 And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Mat 28:19 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, Mat 28:20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

Common Excuses Why We Often May Fail To Evangelize 1.Too busy 2.Do not have enough ability or knowledge 3.Afraid or discouraged about people rejecting the Word 4.Fearful of personal rejection or persecution 5.Too isolated from sinners 6.Living hypocritical life

Introduction How can we be motivated to overcome these things to do what we can to spread the gospel to the lost? To help, we look at what motivated Paul to serve the Lord Even if we are not preachers, as Christians we can behave more obediently leading to others having a chance to hear the gospel

The Fear Of The Lord 2Co 5:9 Therefore we also have as our ambition, whether at home or absent, to be pleasing to Him. 2Co 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.

The Fear Of The Lord 2Co 5:11 Therefore, knowing the fear of the Lord, we persuade men, but we are made manifest to God; and I hope that we are made manifest also in your consciences.

The Fear Of The Lord Mat 10:24 "A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a slave above his master. Mat 10:25 "It is enough for the disciple that he become like his teacher, and the slave like his master. If they have called the head of the house Beelzebul, how much more will they malign the members of his household!

The Fear Of The Lord Mat 10:28 "Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Mat 10:29 "Are not two sparrows sold for a cent? And yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father.

The Fear Of The Lord Mat 10:30 "But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Mat 10:31 "So do not fear; you are more valuable than many sparrows.

The Fear Of The Lord Mat 10:32 "Therefore everyone who confesses Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father who is in heaven. Mat 10:33 "But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven.

The Love of Christ 2Co 5:14 For the love of Christ controls us, having concluded this, that one died for all, therefore all died; 2Co 5:15 and He died for all, so that they who live might no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf.

The Love of Christ 1Jn 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome.

The Love of Christ Luk 7:41 "A moneylender had two debtors: one owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty. Luk 7:42 "When they were unable to repay, he graciously forgave them both. So which of them will love him more?" Luk 7:43 Simon answered and said, "I suppose the one whom he forgave more." And He said to him, "You have judged correctly."

Viewing People As Lost Souls Who Need Jesus The Savior 2Co 5:16 Therefore from now on we recognize no one according to the flesh; even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him in this way no longer. 2Co 5:17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.

Viewing People As Lost Souls Who Need Jesus The Savior Mat 16:15 He *said to them, "But who do you say that I am?" Mat 16:16 Simon Peter answered, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."

Viewing People As Lost Souls Who Need Jesus The Savior Rom 6:3 Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death? Rom 6:4 Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life.

Viewing People As Lost Souls Who Need Jesus The Savior Gal 3:26 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. Gal 3:27 For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.

Viewing People As Lost Souls Who Need Jesus The Savior Gal 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. Gal 3:29 And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's descendants, heirs according to promise.

Live To Reflect The Gospel 2Co 5:18 Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, 2Co 5:19 namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation.

Live To Reflect The Gospel 2Co 5:20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. 2Co 5:21 He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

Live To Reflect The Gospel Col 4:5 Conduct yourselves with wisdom toward outsiders, making the most of the opportunity. Col 4:6 Let your speech always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt, so that you will know how you should respond to each person.

Live To Reflect The Gospel Tit 2:3 Older women likewise are to be reverent in their behavior, not malicious gossips nor enslaved to much wine, teaching what is good, Tit 2:4 so that they may encourage the young women to love their husbands, to love their children,

Live To Reflect The Gospel Tit 2:5 to be sensible, pure, workers at home, kind, being subject to their own husbands, so that the word of God will not be dishonored. Tit 2:9 Urge bondslaves to be subject to their own masters in everything, to be well- pleasing, not argumentative, Tit 2:10 not pilfering, but showing all good faith so that they will adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in every respect.

Why Should I Evangelize? 1.The fear of the Lord 2.The love of Christ 3.Viewing people as lost souls who need Jesus the Savior 4.Live to reflect the gospel
