VLSM Example Solution Almerindo Graziano

VLSM: Interconnection Requirements Interconnection Requirements –In each town the buildings are interconnected via FDDI or Fast Ethernet Each country needs 3 x 4 = 12 addresses (nearest is 32) –Each country has a central site to which all the towns are connected via Frame Relay Each country needs at least 3 addresses –The organization has a central site in Manchester to which all the central sites are connected via Frame Relay/Leased Lines

VLSM: Example /24 can be subnetted for –Connections between buildings at least 12 per country (Number of buildings may increase) –Serial connections at least 4 per country (backup considerations)

VLSM: Example Country: /27Ireland /27Scotland /27Wales /27England /27WAN connections /27WAN connections /27WAN connections /27WAN connections 30 addresses for the buildings in each country

VLSM: Example WAN connections 111/ /30Town1 / /30Town2 / /30Town3 / /30Town4 / /30to Manchester / /30for resiliance / /30for resiliance / /30for resiliance
