LIKE THE CEDARS OF LEBANON THE WORLD YOUTH MARONITE FORUM

The Maronite Patriarchal Synod calling us to strengthen the connection between the Resident Lebanese Maronite Youth and those of the expansion allowing the creation of a strong network where young people can exchange their culture, traditions, history and commitment to the Catholic Church as well as their belonging to Lebanon. Our Holy Father Pope Francis highlights the importance of the new evangelization in spreading the Word of God to people who were born in the Catholic Church but who nonetheless wish to deepen their understanding. Objective & Mission One of the missions of the Youth Pastoral Ministry’ in the Maronite Patriarcal Departments is to organize periodically (every two years) the “Maronite World Youth Days” for the Maronite Youth of Lebanon and the Expansion. The objective is to create a field where experiences are exchanged between Maronite Lebanese Eparchies and the Youth of Expansion creating strong bond between the Maronite Youth in the right way so they will be able to connect, understand the Maronite History and check our Saints Lives.

Like the Cedars of Lebanon Simply for three reasons: 1- Like the Cedars we want to stick to our roots and go back to our origin. 2- Like the Cedars we want to spread our wings and expand the Word in all continents. 3- Like the Cedars we want to grow in our faith and be symbol of hope, freedom and peace. Why?

Program Sunday 28 June Arrivals and Welcoming Monday 29 June - Thursday 02 July Opening of the event, Tourism and Pilgrimage Friday 03 July - Sunday 05 July Forum & Meeting our Patriarch Mar Bechara Raii Monday 06 July - Tuesday 07 July Back to roots and free time N.B.: 1- The Youth from expansion will be welcomed in our Maronite Lebanese families within the Lebanese Maronite Eparchies in the first period before the Forum where after we will all gather in the house of hospitality. 2- The cost to be borne by the participant is limited to the trip ticket. All other expenses to be covered by the Pastoral Youth Ministry.
