Weather Journal Warm-up

First Page Current Almanac Predictions for the area – Include predictions from both almanacs Predicted Reflection – Is there are difference between the predictions or not? Why do you think this is? – Do you think the predicted weather will really be this way? Why or why not? (If you saw a difference above, answer for both!) – Do you think the almanac is a reliable prediction of the weather? Why or why not?

What to Include Current Temperature Feels Like Temperature Wind (direction and speed) Humidity Dew Point Pressure

What to Answer (must do at least 1) How has the weather changed in the last few days? What do you think the weather will be like in the next few days? How has the weather affected you (your activities, your mood, etc.) How has the weather affected the local environment? (think economically, daily and weekly aspects, extended affects, etc.) Pick one aspect of the weather and explain how it has affected the current conditions or will affect the future conditions. Personal Reflection of Choice

Weather Reflection Did the almanac correctly predict the weather for this month? Use evidence from your data to support your answer. Remember the almanac is based on the average history of weather in our area over hundreds of years. Based on your answer to the first question, why do you think this happened? Also remember we looked at two different almanacs. Do you think every almanac will make the same predictions for our weather? Why or why not? Do you think the almanac is a reliable prediction of the weather? Why or why not?
