Chunghwa Telecom Chunghwa Telecom (CHT) is the largest Telecom company in Taiwan (The one and only local phone company). Customer Base: Land Phone subscribers : 13 million Cellular phone subscribers : 8.26 million Internet subscribers : 3 million plus (Population of Taiwan is 23 million, 5 million plus households) Capital over 14 billion US dollars

Chunghwa Telecom CHT provides Broadband Intranet services (pay per service typed) to both business and residential customers via TV Using Broadband Fixed IP Network with Broadband Access Technology such as ADSL, VDSL, Fiber to Building to Provide High-Quality (MPEG 2/4) On-Demand Multimedia Services

Project Investment CHT is in the process providing 100,000 households trial system in greater Taipei area and verified ADSL being adequate to provide MOD services in CHT local loops. In 2005, CHT will set up a 600,000 subscribers commercial system to provide MOD services in the greater Taipei area.

Project Investment CHT has invested over US$80 million for field trial and network deployment CHT has reached 3 million ADSL subscribers in January of 2004 and still increasing. (total 5 million household in Taiwan)

Project Investment Our prediction of growth for MOD subscribers would be 100,000 subscribers in 2004 400,000 subscribers in 2005 1 million plus subscribers in 2006 Near 2 million subscribers in 2007
