Ethics…………… At A&A Computers By: Selina Francis March, 2008

The meaning of the word “Ethics”.. Ethics: Sincere FrankTruthful Direct Open Straightforward Decent ProperHonest Right Just Principles Standards Moral Values Beliefs Morals Ideals

The meaning of the word “Ethics”.. They are the standards of conduct that we use to guide our behavior. These standards are partly based on core values such as Honesty, Respect and Trust. They can also be learned directly from our leaders, supervisors and co-workers.

Business Ethics of A&A Computers… (Refer our Website) We believe in open, ethical, and non- discriminatory business practices. We will treat each of our suppliers, clients and employees in a respectful, fair, and above-board manner. We believe that our business is built on the collective talents of our employees. We strive to develop local expertise.

Business Ethics of A&A Computers… (Refer our Website) Our business will be run in a manner that allows us to make a fair profit. We commit ourselves to keeping up with the business techniques and technologies that will allow us to provide better services for our clients, and better working conditions for our employees.

Business Ethics of A&A Computers… (Refer our Website) TRUTH what is rightWhat isProfitable We emphasize on doing “what is right”, not just “What is Profitable” RESPECT +1. PROFIT 2.

Business Ethics of A&A Computers… Who is to act Ethically?.... Every person at A&A has to act ethically. Each one of us is responsible for his or her own actions, including being ethical. The following 3R’s will point us in the right ethical direction: 1. Respect 2. Responsibility 3. Results.

Business Ethics of A&A Computers… Discussion: What do we mean by “Respect”?

Business Ethics of A&A Computers… 1 st “R” - Respect It is an attitude that must be applied to people, company resources and your environment. Respect includes behaviors such as:  Treating every one (i.e. customers, co-workers, vendors, e.t.c) with dignity and courtesy.  Using company supplies, equipment, time and money appropriately, efficiently and for business.  Protecting and improving your work environment, and abiding by laws, rules and regulations that exist.

Business Ethics of A&A Computers… Discussion: What do we mean by “Responsibility”?

Business Ethics of A&A Computers… 2 nd “R” - Responsibility Every one has a responsibility to customers, co- workers, company and oneself. Responsibility includes behaviuors such as:  Providing, timely high-quality work and service.  Working collaboratively and carrying your share of the load.  Meeting all performance expectations and adding value.

Business Ethics of A&A Computers… Discussion: What do we mean by “Result”?

Business Ethics of A&A Computers… 3 rd “R” – Results When we attain results, we have to understand that the way these results are attained – “the means” - are equally important to the ultimate goals – “the ends”. We are expected to get results for our company and for our customers legally and morally by being ethical. If we lose sight of the distinction, we jeopardize our job, our business and our career.

Business Ethics of A&A Computers… integrity However, to be able to act ethically will depend very much on your integrity to the company. The company includes yourself, your co- worker, customer, the supplier, e.t.c

Business Ethics of A&A Computers… You can measure the degree of your integrity to the company by asking yourself the following questions:  Do you feel good about your work?  Do you consider your employment as more than just a “job”?  Do you feel good about the integrity of A&A?

Business Ethics of A&A Computers… In most cases we don’t do what is right due to the following common excuses: – “No one will know”. – “It is not my job”. – “Everyone else does it” – “Nobody will care”. – “The boss does it”. – “That is close enough”. – “I don’t have time to do it right”. – “Rules are meant to be broken”. – Etc.

Business Ethics of A&A Computers… We can avoid these excuses by: – Considering the 3R’s Business ethics: Respect, Responsibility and Results. – Preserving our integrity; not to take for granted whatever circumstances are around us.
