Water Trials Newfoundlandklubben i Danmark SoR - Swim and Rescue test It forms the basis of the water trials. The dog must be safe in the water and all exercises must be performed without scratching or trying to climb onto the owner SoR shows that the dog can swim SoR shows that the dog can retrieve an object SoR shows that the dog can rescue the owner After SoR follows the official water trials programme Start Class Open Class Elite Class

SoR – Retrieve of an object © Lis Døssing, May 2014 The owner throws an object at least 10 metres out into the water The dog retrieves the object, brings it back and deposits it on the shore The object is optional – but food is not allowed
