Isaiah 55:1-3 1.“Ho! Every one who thirsts, come to the waters; And you who have no money come, buy and eat. Come, buy wine and milk Without money and without cost. 2.“Why do you spend money for what is not bread, And your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, And delight yourself in abundance. 3.“Incline your ear and come to Me. Listen, that you may live; And I will make an everlasting covenant with you, According to the faithful mercies shown to David.

Jeremiah 2: “Be appalled, O heavens, at this, And shudder, be very desolate,” declares the Lord. 13. “For My people have committed two evils: They have forsaken Me, The fountain of living waters, To hew for themselves cisterns, Broken cisterns That can hold no water.

Psalm 42: As the deer pants for the water brooks, So my soul pants for You, O God. 2. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God; When shall I come and appear before God?

Our Spiritual Hunger This Hunger Is A Craving. This Hunger Is An Alert: Eat or Perish. This Hunger Is From The Heart, Mind, And Soul. – As the body depends on nourishment for health and strength, so the soul must be nourished by God. The Soul Requires Righteous Nourishment. – Just as spiritual things cannot satisfy the body, physical things cannot satisfy the soul.

Righteousness In The Sermon on the Mount Our Initial State: Emptiness (vs. 3-6) – Poor In Spirit, Mourn, Meek >> Longing For Righteousness<< Our New State: Fullness (vs 7-9) – Full of Mercy, Full of Purity, & So Full of Peace That We Are Peacemakers. >> Living With Righteousness<<
