OBJECTIVE noun something toward which efforts are directed.  synonyms: aim, goal, purpose The objective of a race is to be the first across the finish line.

OFFEND verb hurt the feelings of  synonyms: insult, provoke Racism offends people of all races.

RECTIFY verb set right  synonyms: correct, remedy, amend Baby, don’t be mad. I’ll rectify everything if you give me another chance.

REMORSEFUL adjective sorry for past misdeeds  synonyms: contrite, penitent Mary was remorseful for shaving Mike’s cat.
