Activating Strategy: Use the magnetic continent/Pangaea board to excite discussion and prior knowledge or use the idea in the teacher edition on page 301 creating puzzles from magazine pictures and have students explain how they know how to reconstruct their neighbor’s puzzle. Teaching Strategies: Create vocabulary chart. Pangaea cut and paste puzzle. Put in spiral. Need glue and colored pencils. Read text for details leading to the Theory of Continental Drift.
