The Last Apprentice: Books 1-3 For my first R and E a while back, I choose these books as my R and E. They are some of the best books I’ve ever read (right up there with Harry Potter, but not coming close), and I seriously recommend them to you if you like Fablehaven or The Lightning Thief. However, unlike those books, I don’t see these phenomenal stories getting any of the respect they deserve. Although I could really care less about what everyone else reads, I still think that you should give these incredible stories a try. (Reader Discretion Advised)

The Sea of Trolls series This is one of the ones that shouldn’t even be here. Just like The Last Apprentice, this is a must-have for any fantasy lover. It is incredibly well written, and not to mention entertaining. The beginning starts of a little too slow, but once it gets going, you just can’t put it down. In my opinion, this would be perfect for the battle of the books, but it’s a little too long for that. Either way, if you have the chance to read this,

Alex Rider Series This is when this PowerPoint starts to really depress me. Each and every book in this series (except for Ark Angel) is a thrill ride. It’s impossible to put them down, and once you finish the series, you’ll certainly be back for more. In other words, this is an incredible series. In Europe, this is a hit series. In the states, not so much. But, that doesn't matter for one second. To anyone who has read the series, one thing is obvious: Alex rider rocks.
